Krystal Vaughn (September 8, 1986) is an American professional basketball player. She currently plays the small forward position internationally in Germany.
Krystal is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (2008) with a BA in Sports Management. Upon completeing her undergraduate degree, she was drafted to the Washington Mystics of the WNBA. After a year with the Mystics, Krystal was plaqued with injury. Krystal has since played in five different european countries: Greece, Israel, Spain, Finland, and Germany.
Krystal is now pursuing a career in personal fitness training (through certification), as well as, fitness modelling while still doing what she loves playing basketball!
After playing in 16 games as a freshman and starting just eight games in her first two seasons, she came to the forefront in the final two years, becoming one of the program’s all-time leading scorers. With 21 points at Old Dominion on Jan. 17, she became the 16th player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Her 532 points, the fourth-best scoring season in school history, moved her into sixth-place on the school’s all-time charts with 1,298 career points. She earned first team All-CAA honors this season and was also named first team All-Virginia by the Richmond-Times Dispatch. She became the first VCU women’s basketball player selected in the WNBA Draft, going to the Washington Mystics with the 34th overall selection.
