Mission.
Readers Create Leaders (RCL) is a program that works with area school districts, local, regional and national sports stars to transform instruction so that children can become powerful readers, writers, and thinkers.
A nation of readers become productive people who help create strong communities. Reading ignites the imagination and inspires learning—basic tools for success in school. Reading improves child development, leading to better grades and higher graduation rates. Wherever, whenever, however you look at it—Reading is as important, as a ball in a game.

OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to close the gap in literacy achievement between disadvantaged children and their more affluent peers. We know that early reading = lifelong success. We also know that there is no stronger lever for improving student outcomes than providing a positive and powerful force like a popular student athlete and/or celebrity to read and interact directly with the children.
